NetWall is implemented at both IP and Application level, with user authentication via a server: RADIUS, AccessMaster or SecurID, using a CP8 smartcard. TCP/IP network interfaces are supported. AIX: Ethernet, X.25, FDDI, Token Ring and SLIP. Windows NT & Solaris: Ethernet only. Communications can be handled with User Datagram Protocol (UDP), Because of the TCP re-transmission mechanism and implementation at the IP layer, TCP connections are not disturbed by an interruption of service of this firewall.
